The Unique files tab contains a list of unique/remaining files found in the scan. To be listed here, a unique file needs to be within a starting folder flagged with "Find Uniques" in the Scan locations list.
As with the duplicate files list, you can mark files for deletion. Be careful though, as depending on your scanning criteria and location these could be the only copies of a file you have.
To mark a file click on the checkbox. You can also double click on a file to open it in it's native application for further investigation. A right-click pop-up menu is available from the list, with many more options.
Note:
If the unique folder is also set to 'Don't scan against self' then all files which do not have duplicates in other folders will be listed in this tab - even if they have duplicates within their own folder. This is useful for drive comparison situations.
Unique Files list
The list of all the unique files found. Only unique files with a starting folder flagged "Find Uniques" in the Scan locations list are shown here.
Marking (ticking/checking) a file specifies that you intend to remove (delete) that file later on.
There are lots of tools within Duplicate Cleaner to help you mark the files. You can right-click on a file and use the context menu for more actions. You can use the selection assistant as well.
This section displays and controls the current filtering on the duplicate files list.
Filters available include:
All - Show all duplicate files.
Marked - Show just marked files.
Not Marked - Show files not currently marked.
Other filters can be put in place from the File list Popup Menu including path, file type and group filtering, and are displayed here. Clicking on the 'Clear other filters' button will remove these filters.
